More questions....
So finding a spot to mount my fuel cell with something to weld the brackets to has been a pain. The spot I want to moun the cell there is nothing there but the bars from the cage to mount anythin too.
Is welding to the cage a no no? I'd like to build my fuel cell frame off the two bars near the front right hand corner of the bed. If not there I could mount it directly over the rear axle. Where ever I mount it on the right side I'm going to mount my battery in the same spot but on the drivers side to even out the weight.
Thanks again for any input.
Tim

I'll get some pictures tonight. I looked more at it a little bit ago and directly over the rear axle is looking like a better option. It's flat, more to weld too, has a spot to mout my fuel pump too.
I'll have pictures up in a few hours.

Here is where I think the fuel cell would fit best. This will put the weight back farther and bring the fuel cell closer the the tonneau cover so filling it with fuel will be easier.

where's the pump going to be mounted? are you running a pump with a return built in, dead head or return line from the regulator? i only ask because it might make a difference in where you will mount your fuel cell. might not make a difference but in my application it did.

Looking at the fuel cell in the picture I'm planning on mounting it behind and just a bit lower than the sump. I'll build a small bracket off the frame rail to hold it. I'm running a BG400 with a built it return so my return line will be very short. Am I not seeing something? Is this a good spot to mount eventhing? Thanks Tim

there you go, that's the ticket. thanks for the photo mike. i don't think you were missing anything. it's just a good idea to mock up the setup before securing everything to make sure it's ease of use, accessibility, looks,or function. sorry, i tend to over-think things at times. ;D
