Getting close to time for me to order new racing tires, and I'm considering getting Hoosier Quick Time Pro's. Been trying to find out how well these hold up and how long they will last i.e One year, Two, Three ?
Looks like I will have to go with 31x16.5-15LT, but would like to have the 31x18.5-15LT. The later would fit my wheel wells better, but I'm worried about a 15" tread being to much drag for my sbc. I have been running Hoosier 31x14-15 slicks, that have 14" of tread, and I could stand a 1/2 spacer even with them.
With the 31x16.5"s and 13" of tread, I could use 1" spacers. Which beings up another question about spacers, Who makes 4-1/2x 4-1/2 spacers ?
Anyone have thoughts on these Quick Time Pro's

Anyone have thoughts on these Quick Time Pro's Jeff, I run the Quick Time Pro's on the Chevelle (31x18.5-15LT) They work good or have so far, I want to go to the 33x22.5-15LT because that size is closer to my slick size. With the QTP's on the car I have to run the shift point up 500 RPM. You are welcome to try them on your car. They are on 15" wide, 5 on 4-3/4'" bolt pattern wheels.

Ask Scott what he picked up in ET when he went to the smaller tire. Your right to consider that as it will affect ET. How much tire do you need to hook? Over tired and under powered is not a bad plan for a track that can be marginal.................
That Mike is a Prince of a guy........Bolt on them tires he has and let us all know what you think come Labor Day!

Ask Scott what he picked up in ET when he went to the smaller tire. Scott went from a 4.30 to a 4.86 too. Better tire rotation. He's finally making that 565 do it's work.

YES , IF i remember correctly , cant wait to try out new 10.5s!!! i then put on the 14.5 brand new and ran a 8.92 , but with the growth of the tire the 4.86 worked good , i have the 10.5s on 12" wheels sothere is no growth on those....hoping toget the heads off soon and into mike to replace my tired 3 1/2 year old springs....

Thanks for the offer Mike. I'll have to see if my axles can be changed to 5x4-3/4, right now they are 5x4-1/2. I know there's some other holes in them, just don't know what they are. Also I can't remember my rim width, I want to say 14, but they may be 12"
I'm thinking now the 31x16.5 on 14" rims will work, and with my 4.86 gears should get some more RPM's out of it.
Craig, the car could easily be KOS ready with these tires, and a set of muff's. I don't have my front turn signal lights in, which is another stupid rule "Where the hell you going to turn on a straight road"

I actually seen someone do that last year! "How nice" I thought. Obviously a recent graduate of Smith Driving School. Hey since Jeff brought up the KOS thing I was thinking about a new rule that should be imposed this year. Must have a working GPS oh man sometimes I kill myself :'(That's it, I'm talkin' to Earl ;D

So what happen to the required AM/FM- six-cd player and the working A/C, and the spare tire in the trunk rule? did that get taken out?? And i suppose the tire change half way through the parade laps isn't going to happen either. That's what JJ told me.

Keep it up and I'm sure the tire irons will be coming out but it won't be for any tire change
