I remember the car now, think i use to go to school with the driver when we were kids if its who I'm thinking. Went threw the whole car the last couple days and all looks good, re engineered my alternator brackets so i think the belt will stay on now (I hate having to run back to a charger every time). Some more seat time Sunday and Monday then i have to go back to the slope, when i get back I'm going to swap in some MW 40 spline axles and spool and get rid of the 35 spline stuff.

I've driven fast altereds, front and rear engined dragsters, and 8 and 9 second door cars....I agree with altereds being hard to drive....but nothing compared to a overpowered car that lights the tires at the 1000 ft mark at 150 mph....if you don't stay in it good possibility you may crash...ask Earl how nervous he was everytime I pulled up...if you turn up the blower on your truck you'll see! Best feeling in the world! You'll never want anything less! I think that was my old car at that auction....sure looked rough...I sold it to Frank in about 2004 or 5....hope to have my new car out next year...untill then I get to share driving duties with my friend Matt who just bought Keith Boitzs 68 Camaro What's your new car? Sweet I'm sure ill he asking you some questions. What was the car weight, engine size, blower size and pulley ratio on your el camino? I'm keeping the truck one to one on the blower, but with a 1271, that's 10 pounds of boost. But I'm also only running 8.5:1 compression.

I'm buiding a 55 Chevy...my old car weighed 3800 with me in it...was 505..11.5 comp ...14-71...delta front opening...30% over...are you gonna run gasoline? If so that will be a good starting point for you...too low for Alcohol in my opinion

3800? Wow that's a lot of moving metal. No I'm going to run alcohol. A lot of people I have been talking to have been saying that running low compression will work if I compensate with a little boost. It just has to run this season for chassis tuning sakes. Next year its gonna be 10.5 or 11:1. I've got the pulleys set at one to one which the ratio chart say should be 10 lbs of boost. Do you have any alcohol parts you want off your hands?

Is this the Chevy that came from Fairbanks? I bought your small block that came out of that car. It's had a lot of work and isn't the same engine anymore.

Haven't bought a pump yet. It will not be cam driven. Just hat injection and 8mm pulleys. Not gt. I've got a 52t pulley top and bottom.
