This was fun! Focus was on Roy Rank and Arctic Thunder with a forward facing cam and thanks to Mark Eslinger for packing a cam facing toward Roy for a pretty nice view as they hit the stripe on 1st round elims. Mark & crew watched it at the track to see how close they were. Sometime this week I'll get to Scott who had the same set up when he ran against Rick, Mike M. had a great launch, Jim Reeves in car watching him slam gears. All to come. Had a lot of folks asking for a business card...sorry, this just a fun hobby as a one man circus. However you can go to my You tube channel ( www.youtube.com/alaskaerjs ) and see everything posted here and more as well as contact Dan Roche as he has the capabilities to put these as well as everything he captures on DVD.

Very cool, as are all your vids Randy! I especially liked seeing Roy getting excited about his win. Is the rolling shutter effect that we saw in the vid shot from Mark's car because of the CMOS sensor in the GoPro? I've read about it but never actually noticed it before. I'm going to guess that the cars vibrations accentuated the problem and maybe because the camera was pointed to the side. Still a great point of view!

Yea Dan...its the vibration that causes the rolling shutter....the built in stabilizer can't keep up with it. If you watch me out there I'm tapping on body's trying to find a solid piece to put the cam to prevent this...just haven't found the spot on Mark's yet. Roy had one by his wheels. Car roofs are pretty much a given as a solid source.
