Thanks Clint. Sorry i didn't make myself more clearer earlier. Some of us Idiots have a hard time putting our thoughts in print. LOL, Not sure if your being sarcastic or not. but either way, my intent was truly honorable. I am trying to shed a little light on the damn box. Which is back-firing anyway but I think its entertainment.

Well if I was to ever use a delay box, and god knows I need one, cuz I can't cut a lite for squat. I would start by putting in 1.050 and adjust from there. I need to get one to run in King of Street anyway. Now I KNOW your being sarcastic, but I will engage anyway for sheer entertainment. At home I have 1.048 in the box, and can cut a .01 on a good day..sometimes. While in Edmonton this 1.048 got me red, by the end of the weekend I ended up with 1.099 and 01 lights, but it took more red-lights in one weekend than I saw all summer at home. They only allowed us 2 T&T passes is why it took all weekend to get the tree figured out. (And I am still learning) So...what do you think? If you put 1.050 in your box do you think it would cut a perfect light? Highly unlikely.... I'm telling you guys, its not as easy as you think! You just dont program in "PERFECT" and rip off .0000 lights. Since your considering a box, may I suggest a K&R? This one is the only box where you get the zero force technology, you press / release the button after staging, and then press / release it again when you see the first light come on. ;D

And i understand exactly what you are saying. What i think is great about this, is alot of people now know how a box works. And that the field is still split about it's use. We be Edyoukayted now. ;D

John, I think he said I was being sarcastic, psss I think we'er getting to him.
I've always been on the fence with the Delay Box issue, is it Cheating, is it not, is it to make a bad driver better. How the hell should I know. I'd like to try one, but I do like driving my car by myself too.
I also like 41 Willy's with a Big Blower through the hood too, but that's just me, and maybe another topic.

First and Foremost; I too think every 41 Willys should have a blower sticking out of the hood. If I ever turn this car into a street car, first thing I'll do is put a straight axle under the front, and a blower out of the hood.
This will really get John and Jeff going, but if anybody does not realize the full potential of cheating with legal crap, ;D here it is: Whats really cool about a delay box is if you install two more buttons, you can "bump up" or "bump down" Now when you hit the light and you think you may have either jumped, or slept.. you simply bump up or bump down and fix it! Also... when you leave off the slower car's light, you can hit the tree again when your light comes on. The box will take the better of the two reaction times. Two shots at a light! Works fantastic especially against cars with no box!
Some of the car's have a "Pro-Stage" installed. With this little gizmo hooked up, when you stage, the computer will mash the pedal to the floor for you, but the RPM wont go up. The computer automatically brings up the RPM when it needs to so you do not have unnecessary wear on your car, and it is supposed to help with concentration / reaction times. Supposedly this is way to go but I have not tried it.
All great stuff for building a car that is built to win rounds
