7.60 index heads up. If any racer completes two runs at the same event (event = race day) which is greater than two-tenths under their index, a personal index will be created for that racer. Qualifying ETs count towards the two run minimum race requirement. The new adjusted index will be set to two-tenths over their quickest ET run at that event. The new index will be effective on the next race day.
So does this mean if we have a 7.60 index, and I run 7.80 and 7.81, my index will be set @ 7.80?
Someone is going to have to explain this index shit to me. I haven't a freakin' clue.
But ive got the basics down, red button, yellow, go, hold on, chutes, piss and moan because i got beat. anything else?
Also, is it just one index per class or what? Seems like having the same index for a fed and a door slammer is a little weird.

Also, one thing we might want to concider, is if the 7.60 index is the standard, it will push a couple people out of the class, including me, brian aszmus and i believe dixon has only run 7.70 before....
Seems like 8.00 would be more reasonable. People would be willing to jump from 8.30's and 8.20's like KC hooks and Brian aszmus (which are both legal for this class) to 8.00, but jumping from 8.30 to 7.60 is a HUGE leap.
Plus, if we look at the cars that we have in the class and best E.T's ive seen: John Dixon: 7.70 doesnt make index Devin Welsh: unknown Gene Lamay: unknown Ralph Beitter: 7.50-7.99 depending.... Robbie Hauck: unknown Cameron Charlton(sp?): unknown Brian Aszmus: 8.30 KC Hooks: 8.10's
Seems like its gonna be a pretty small class if index is 7.60 and your supposed to run 7.60 or quicker....
Just my opinion, but if the cutoff was 8.00, seems like a lot more people would be willing to step up...

This looks like a great starter class to move up to T/E. Lets see what cars show up and go for it... Wild child you do not have to run the index only get close if you go under you are factored.. only thing that is BS is that the boundaries are ignored... I guess this gives anybody the right to drive over your head and take out another car OR? I would want to have Katie run this class when she is at age but not with a stupid guard rail to guard rail who ever gets there first Shit . Randy

I'm really liking the begining layout for Outlaw Nostalgia! Old skool rules for old skool cars! The "No Boundries" rule doesn't mean demolition derby, just a litte forgiveness when someone gets a little outa shape. Which I've seen happen, but NOT often. Hahahaha...

No Boundries, First to Finish Wins. So if someone crosses in front of you and you end up pushing them across the finish line, Did they just Win ? And who's fixin your bumper ? Please don't screw with my Mod ET Class. I'd like to someday retire with some class

If I'm even fast enough to run this class, I for one am going to race as if the boundaries still count.

With the new classes, and new schedule in mind: Alaska Safety has signed up for another summer of Friday Night Gamblers Races.
I am going to have two classes for these nights. Electronics and No-Electronics. (Box and No-Box) All other rules stay the same. We have always grouped everybody into one class, but I feel if we separate the cars, we will probably get more cars. (I hope)
If the car count is low, the track may make us put everybody into one class again.... So bring out those Hot-Rods!!!! No word on additional sponsorship money yet, but highly likely the purse will be at least $500.00 per class. Well worth the effort of loading up and taking the scenic drive to ARP!!

OK, Outlaw Nostalgia Chicago Style. Since there's no qualifying in Chicago Style, does anyone know if this will be a 2 run or 3 run deal ?
After the first run we'll know who is going to the Finals, if it's true Chicago Style.

Clint, that's some of the best news I've heard. I can't wait to run in the nights I can make.

I agree Clint is a class act. I may not run Friday nights but I sure appreciate Clint and Alaska Safety and ARP for putting on the Friday night Races. Come on people get out there and race. Support Clint's efforts and the track.
