So talking with the Bodenstadt's this morn they didn't have the same reservations I had on posting their vid on You Tube. With their prompting it is now up.... In this vid from Sunday July 1, Jaime & Marty are driving against each other... Spare Parts car breaks loose hitting the wall and takes Marty on a wild ride. Go Pros were mounted on both cars for different views. This vid will show why you need safety gear and chassis to specs to protect the drivers. Marty came out of this unscathed.

Randy, you need to find vid of Pete stones crash a couple years ago and also Tony's mishap. They were both scary rides and they walked away. Glad Marty is ok.

I know that theres a video of petes crash on youtube and doug ogden has a whole sequence of the crash on his website. Im pretty sure dan or someone had a video of toni's and even though it wasn't violent, it still shows what youre trying to get at. Also take into concideration both of John Postichek's crashes. The vega into the wall and the nova went over the guardrail at the big end, through the tree's and end over end until it ended up backwards in the trees. Pretty sure John came out of that one with a cut and a missing tooth, never the less, hes still walking around as good as ever today.

And also the time John Childs took a nasty ride hitting both rails once or twice and the time Jay's car the old "chill factor" kicked out the rods and burned and the jet car fire, the guy running himself over in the pits tuning his car? I can't remember what happened exactly, it was not good, but turned out ok, very lucky. There are many stories out there and all with no one getting seriously injured, thanks to proper car prep and good safety. And also thanks to Bob and Mark for the thankless job of Tech Inspectors. These guys have seen so much and kept us all safe. Thanks guys. And to Karen and Earl for all the work they do to give us a safe place To play. It's not easy or cheap to be a sanctioned track in Alaska. I do question some of the SFI dated stuff but never the use of it.

There are probably no pics of Clarence lemays dragster or jimmie Mores altered both before the guard rails were in place. Clarence was at the start of the run Jimmies at the big end. both proof if you are going to go fastit has to be done safely or it is not worth it. does anyone remember the drags on commercial and the fairlane that hit the curb. I remember Mike Welch had the fastest car there it was 1/8 mile. Jim Reeves mustang and Mighty mikes baretta have proved the merits of safety first.
