Things are coming right along and now have a quick question regarding rear tires. What is the minimal clearance you are looking for in the inside sidewall? Specifically what I’m looking at is on a third gen Camaro there is the rear spring tower that bulges out towards the rear tire sidewall. The tires I’m looking at running are 28" x 11"-15" Goodyear Eagle Dragway Specials on 10" Weld Draglight's with 5.5" backspace. 10.90" tread width, 12.50 section width. Seems really close to me in the back, to the point where I may need to get something narrower. What should I look for 1/4", 1/2", or 1" inside sidewall clearance? Or more? Trimming the inside of the fender wells was easy for the overall tire diameter but those spring towers for the sidewall clearance are a bit more involved and part of the rear unibody frame. Thanks for any insight!

I would try for at least 1" or more. I have had a touch before if your car moves left or right.

Thanks. After tonight's massaging it looks like I have a minimum of 1 3/4 now on the inside now. Thanks again!
