I remember when the 317 in this car blew its guts out big time I once ask Bill how he knew when to shift he said when the steering wheel jiggled it ment ft wheels were on the ground as tac was buried leaving line.

I see fools gold's front fender and the strip teaser impala pre Stan Barney Man this was about 3 years before I started racing I reconized Deri Snelson.

Fast Getaway was Jim Heinz. He sold it to Mike Prockish after that, then went to Rick Cambell.

Yeah, that is the car John Dixon has. I would say it was in early 80s... Jay Childs had it after this photo.

I agree with Lyle. The newest car I saw in the back ground was a 2nd generation Camaro (1970-1981), so probably no later than early 80's

The fiat was the screaming eagle when jay had it. The camero is a 70-73 chrome bumper I see lrrys old blue ford pickup it was a 73-77. real cool pics. Fools gold was Dave Kloningers car.these pictures appear to be from pre 1981 as stan had strip teaser and the hood scoop was gone in 1981 the first year I ran the GTO. Is the c econo dragster the ron bacardi car? This was pre car hauler for Larry and stan bought the teaser from johnson who ran it with a big block.

34 years later, same camaro is still racing... Only thing changed on the car since the 80's is wheels/tires, engine, trans and removal of special 1970's artwork... Attachments:
