An "E" ticket ride, to be sure! You "old" guys will know what that is.

An "E" ticket ride, to be sure! You "old" guys will know what that is. For us "Young" folks here is what it means...(got it from my Funk & Wagnalls) Goldie is missing though The phrase E ticket (or E ticket ride) refers to an unusually interesting, thrilling or expensive experience. It derives from the admission ticket system used at Disneyland and Magic Kingdom theme parks before 1982, in which the E ticket (officially termed "E coupon") admitted the bearer to the newest, most advanced, and/or most popular rides and attractions. Thanks for Remembering Dan :-) Here's a thread started on YB www.yellowbullet.com/forum/showthread.php?t=377043

Thanks again Randy. I was looking at the feedback on YB and I know I am begging for trouble here, but does anybody see something wrong with my runs? I am asking for criticism here. I would like to post it on YB too, but that stupid site wont let me register.
First off I know I should have worn my fancy pants and shoes. Busted, sorry, and guilty as charged. I'll start wearing them. What about the shifting to neutral at the stripe comment? I have been told this is the "safe" thing to do and less wear and tear on my crap.

Clint, from the video it looks like the car handles nice, don't see you having to drive it. As far as the neutral goes, I'm told it is best if you can do it.

Clint, I'd suggest to you that you move your left hand to between the 8 and 10 0'clock position. I think you are to much ontop of the steering wheel. And I like putting our car in neutral just past the stripe. Other than that, all looks good!!

I have limited band width at work so couldn't pull up the rule book...I didn't think you needed pants / gloves/boots until somewhere around 8.5-8.7

I didn't know you had to wear gloves and pants at 8.90, Scott roloff and mike conner don't I don't think. I've always heard that shifting into neutral was the thing to do because it was easier on parts instead of having the tranny slow the car down. I do the neutral thing in moms car as well. Wear the shoes and pants Clint, it will make you feel cool and like you drive something really really really fast(:

I have limited band width at work so couldn't pull up the rule book...I didn't think you needed pants / gloves/boots until somewhere around 8.5-8.7 I am pretty sure its 8.99 or quicker for pants and shoes, and at 8.49 you gotta add the gloves. I need to wear them, I just don't like it. Terrible excuse, and I need to practice what I preach. I didn't even realize where my hands are on the wheel till I seen the video. This is why I really wanted it, to see what I can improve on. The position of my hands looks awkward as hell, and it looks like I have a death grip on the wheel. Good thing to work on. My shifter can't go past neutral without pushing another lever, so I'm going to keep on hitting it till somebody gives me a good reason not too. Thanks for the feedback.

I saw a couple more YB comments on the nuetral shift so asked the question...I couldn't understand the area of concern so this was the first response...probably more will come up as the day goes on. I thought the concern was high speed rolling in nuetral so I was way off.
Rock Daddy stated- " I believe, and I am not a trans person, that when the trans (most) go into neutral the internals can spin something like 2x the rpm of the engine or something like that. It can break stuff or explode I guess. I think my aftermarket Coan trans even said something to the fact of never doing that."
Anyone have any thoughts on this...fact-fiction??

the only thing I can think of about going into neutral at speed is the engine goes to lower rpms (idle) which lowers the system pressure in the transmission which mean the internals aren't getting as much lubrication. Meanwhile the car is still sailing along at 100 plus. admittedly this isn't for very long so probably isn't a huge wear factor on the transmission...
