Yea devin, i just brushed over that and thought you were talking about the top end. But there is this reason for the 8.50 cut off. Alot of waiting. Your mom could run T/D, just get them to remove all their boxes and she could run that class. You have about as much luck with that as i would talking you into a small block ford, Right? By the way? How's the Queen Mary coming along?

Are you sure it is Mike? I thought Mod ET was 8.50 - 11.99??? Can someone clarify?? Yes, I will! Mod ET Dial 0-11.99 (No Delay Box), Top ET Dial 0-11.99 (Delay Box). There is no rule that says that you have to move into Top Dragster if you run quicker than 8.50 ;D Hmmmmm, I was told that MOD/ET was down to 8.50 and it was mandatory to run TD after 8.49.....And how is it possible for Jay Goodie to run with a MOD ET class designation on his car and run the number he does?

Mike your right about the ET's, thanks. I can't find my book. And i for one don't see our Track as a "PRACTICE TRACK". Sounds alittle insulting don't you think? Earl and Karen have worked hard to give us the best and Only Drag Strip in Alaska and i for one take objection to all their work being belittled.

You missed my point. In addition to being a fine place to race there is more than average opportunity to work on dialing in a combination and develop driving skills.

Yeah, if you could post the rules, I, for one, would appreciate it. Thanks.

The only difference between Mod and Top Et is the delay box guys, and yes you can go as fast as you want, but no slower than 11.99 www.alaskaracewaypark.com/rules-1.htmlThe rules are on ARP's website. It helps to know the rules of the game your playing! ;D And by the way... ARP is indeed a fantastic track, we all appreciate the Lackey families efforts. However to refer to it as practice track is merely pointing out that we get a lot of practice here. If you were to race in the lower 48 on a big day like 4th of July, you would be lucky to get 1 run in before eliminations. How many runs did you make at ARP on the 4th last year or any big weekend for that matter? As many as you wanted to! Practice, Practice, Practice........I am sure nobody, especially anybody on this site meant it as a derogatory term.

Hey Mike G! Welcome to the site. Ran into Agent Orange the other day, had some spy shots of your Nova build. Looks to be quite the car, Cool! Ready this season? Will Angie race Ol' Blue? Post up some pics! On a different subject............how quick do you all think Goodie's car is? Been a best of 8.8x to date, will turn up the boost as confidence and suspension changes allow. Will be in T/T mode for awhile....... Devin, Want a recipe for a winning bracket car? Big tire / under powered / box equipped. You are building the first two, and I will make you a deal on a box!

Hello Candyman Nervous about predicting Nova ETA, but if the stars align we should be able to run it this year. Might have to steal parts off of Blue to make this happen..... I have heard that Goodies car is certified to 8.50; is that true?

I'd run a small block ford. Parts are cheap, Id have enough money to put twin turbo's on it! Queen marry? the truck or my mom? The truck is coming along good. Mom is...mom.. Jay Goodie Runs like 8.80-8.90. But my mom runs consisten 8.75's in mod. I agree. The track comment came across the wrong way from Mike. I agree its a good track to get a lot of runs in at. but the chances of most of us ever getting to race outside are slim to none. Especially for me. I see that Mihalka has raced outside and he has that big fancy trailer for his cars and everything, But this is just a hobby for me and a lot of people. I feel lucky to be able to race at the same track as these guys with the big trailers and these cars that have been outside and around. Most of all, I feel lucky that this year I'll be able to face up against some of the best racers in alaska.
I mean really, Look at out crew. We have Mike Mihalka, have you ever seen that guys garage? Hes got more trophies then I have smart ass comments. Mike Ginnett, dude is on his game. and his wife? Really? Shes one bad lady too. Clint, this guy is an upstanding guy and was polite enough to come over and shake my moms hand when she beat him in the finals. Craig, JJ, Jeff and John. Four of the nicest guys you'll meet and they always have something good to say and always something to talk about. Bill Creech, an old goats goat?! Really? The guy is so much fun to sit and talk with and has a killer sense of humor. Then theres scott rolloff. as much as I hate to say it. Him and I are a lot alike. Big guys, fast cars, smart asses and can start a knock down turn around with anyone, but have the decency to appologise. Great guy. Last and not least is Rob Hawes. The guy sells me a $30,000 race truck for $7500 and helps me finish it all the way down to the end. Not only did I get a damn good deal. But I get to learn along the way, and with teachers like My father and Rob, Ive learned a few things.
My whole point here is that we have some damn good racers and some damn fine people. God knows i've learned a ton from each and every one of them.
Ok, Im done.

I believe that when goodie gets some seat time and gets an anti-roll bar in the rear of that car, he will be down in the low 8.7's maybe mid to high 8.6's

Thanks for the compliment Devin. And you're right, this is the best bunch of Joe's I've been involved with. There's also several of the same caliber that were not mentioned or are not on the site.
As for the thumb twitch thing Devin, I'm hoping for more like a muscle spasm ;D
