These are all great ideas, keep 'em coming! I'm heading to mom and dads late tomorrow night for moms birthday and I'm sure we will be talking about these things (always do) and we'll start moving on them. I really like the military bus idea - anyone have any contacts? We do have a contract with the guard, I'll have Dani see if they know someone. Clint - I will see about getting some clearer answers on the web about camping, parking, admissions and stuff. The ride along deal is an insurance thing, but I'll do some checking and see what we can do. I know they do it at other tracks but I'm not sure how they work around it. They work around it with a big fat waiver that in big bold print says wee are not liable for ANYTHING

Alright that~s cool , fired up spirit ! Many people race for many different reasons. Competition,Speed, Ego, fun, b around your bud's or family. I race because i want to. Every weekend would be way too much! Any body ever heard of to much of a good thing is bad for ya. Even if you could afford it. Also u ever taking your toys and played in another sand box ? Very addicting life is too short just to race in one place. Enjoy it all !!! My 2 cent . PS Greg T thank you very much for the resin i borrowed from u to glue our toy back together.J

What interesting thread Greg started. When I started reading it I was ready to tell him to kiss mine too! Last year (2010) we made every event and came in second in MOD. We decided not to do that again this year ($$$$$$) but to make most instead and still came in on the top half of the field. Felt pretty good about that.
We promote ARP on the peninsula every chance we get. What I don't see however is ARP promoting themselves very much. I know advertising costs money but without it its hard to get the word out. As racers we can always up the anti a little and do more but I don't think it should rest on our shoulders. I am happy to help promote the track and this killer sport as much as I can.
Love the ride along thing and will put a passenger seat in my car.

And I agree that we shouldn't be responsible for having to advertise. ill do it when I can, butthe track should be the one doing the mafjority of the advertising. I know it costs quite a bit but there's that famous quote, ' you gotta spend money to make money ' that applies to everything except wives and drag racing.

Thanks to you all for the great comments and all. I like the discussions, I'll admit that i do take somethings too personal and jump to conclusions that i shouldn't. I apologize if i have offended anyone. The other thing to think about is the weather. How many times have we been rained out? Maybe set up a Practice tree in the lounge and let the spectators play. What else can we do on those down days?

As far as the night time entrance thing goes, I've been to a few camp grounds here in Alaska where, when the "guard shack" is closed at night you "self register". Put your money in the envelope, tear off the extra tab with the number on it, put the envelope in the box and park (displaying the tear off). The "guard" walks around in the morning whacking the pee-pee's of the offenders that don't have any tear offs......... As far as the ride alongs go, I'd love to......but the rider would have to be the size of a postage stamp! LOL OR.....we could zip tie them to my wing struts......hee hee hee! Better yet.....Devin, will you drive my car and zip tie ME to the wing struts? ;D Rob

This is the best idea yet. Who in Alaska hasnt been to a state park with the little envelope, self pay things? Great idea in my opinion. Thanks,
