OK Guys, Let's try your own discussion on your subject.
I don't run KOS, I'm just doing something to help.
If i was going to and read the rules to see how i fit, I'd be a little confused on a few items.
So see if you can fix it, so everyone understands.
Break it down and make it work. It's your Class.
Remember! I'm just trying to help, so don't come down on me!!!
good luck.
King of the Street: Page 16, 2012 ARP Rules.
Vehicle Type: What is considered a "STREET CAR"?
spell it out! Plain and simple so everyone knows.
I know I've heard enough complaining about what is or isn't a street car. (one red chevelle comes to mind).
full frame, back-halved, tube chassis, etc. what's legal or not?
fiberglass parts? what's legal?
full interior? stock? or what?
Maximum ET to Qualify: 14.99 seconds.
terminology would mean: this is as fast as your allowed to run.
i asked a few people how they read this and they agree.
This is confusing, as most don't understand how ET works.
And I'm sure alot of would be racers are.
should maybe read "Minimum ET to qualify".
Registration: Is understandable, except "Street Cars" are required to have proof of insurance.
Lights: Is understandable as is.
Exhaust: If it's street legal. it should have mufflers. and some do run header mufflers.
Tires: OK, either one or the other. DOT or Racing slicks.
Sense this is to be a street car class, makes sense that all tires should be DOT street legal.
Lettering/Decals: How many street cars have you seen with sponsor decals all over them? maybe a graphics wrap.
How about no sponsor lettering or decals visible.
Wipers: Required on Street Cars. Is understandable as is.
Doors/Windows: Is understandable as is.
